Poor quality control! The organizer shelf on the bottom holds this unit together but is very poorly made and falls apart, making this very unsafe! We had one unit shipped to us, we took it out of the box and unfolded it and it came apart at the wood joints making it unusable. We returned it and got another one delivered within a few days. This time the organizer shelf wasn't even attached! it was just lying there in the box! It's not supposed to come apart. We gave up and returned it for a refund.

We have received two bassinet stands, one week apart and they are both defective. As soon as we took them out of the box and tried to open it up, the base board separated from the frame which is not supposed to happen. This happened both times. Considering this is made for a child and Uppababy is supposed to be high quality brand, we were extremely shocked and dissapointed that this was shipped to us for our newborn. We have the uppa baby bassinet and we wanted to use the stand but at this point we are seriously re-considering our decision. This stand is unsafe for use. I just saw another review with the same exact complaint so I know we are not the only ones to come across this highly dangerous issue.

broken out of box, twice!!Jan 01, 2011

My story is very similar to the others. It came broken! twice!! I put a call in to the company, so we will see what happens, but in no way do I want a 3rd stand. After trying 2 different times, and both were broken in exact same spot..I don't want to try a third time. I am so upset, as this was where our baby was going to sleep. I guess I will now have to lug the stroller upstairs at night. If anyone has any suggestions as to what I could put the bassinet on, I would love to hear them. This is why we bought the Vista to begin with, so we wouldn't have to buy an additional bassinet. The stroller, was great, by the way. The stand was horrible. If I get anywhere with the company, (their response) I will post here. I will be getting a full refund, but just curious as to what the company has to say, especially after I tell them that others have had the same thing happen!
