It takes having one around the house to appreciate a stool's uncanny knack for becoming the furniture Johnny-on-the-spot. It's a side table, an extra chair when you need it, an impromptu desk in front of the sofa, a short table for the pint-sizers' art projects and light enough for kids to haul off to their room, an ad-hoc seat in the kitchen or dining room. And in the case of this particular stool, it looks beautiful wherever it ends up being left. The Tiki Stool, designed by Eric Pfeiffer of the California-based Offi & Company, features an elegant organic form inspired (vaguely, we hope) by the Tiki mugs of the 1960's. Made of durable, rotationally molded polypropylene, it holds up to the nomadic life yet shows a sculptural stylishness when situated for stationary use, perhaps as a bed stand. The half cut-out gives emphasis to the shape and provides storage capacity for books, toys or decorative elements. 15-1/2Hx13-1/2" dia. Color Options: Pink Green White Orange Blue Black

Great alternative to a shower benchMay 15, 2010
By Ikat I bought this to use in the shower instead of building in a bench, which, according to what I read on tiling forums, are rarely used. This is perfect - lightweight but solid plastic, nice design and inexpensive. I have had mine for 6 months and use it a lot. I think this makes much more sense than a bench.

Great Multipurpose stoolSep 14, 2011

I bought this cute and durable little stool to put in a large shower. It gave us a place to set extra items, sit and shower if needed but especially somewhere to put my foot while shaving my legs. It resides in a vacation rental and has stood the test of time and multiple users. It's been there for over two years and still looks as good as the day I bought it.
