not as good as the fleeceJun 16, 2010
By Shoeb Hyder for our newborn we had the yellow fleece swaddleme blanket which worked woderfully til he outgrew it and summer came along. then i bought the cotton knit one but its been disappointing so far. its probably cooler but does not fit as snuggly as the first.maybe he needs to grow into it but so far he wriggles his arms out no matter how we swaddle him beacuse its stretchy.sometimes i wake up to see the entire thing bunched up around his neck and his arms out-- while the velcro is still stuck together! its a lil scary because it seems like it might choke him if he got too agitated.

MUST have for a new baby, GREAT choice for a shower gift!Oct 24, 2010

Out of all the things we bought for baby, a few stand out. The little bouncer that plays music (to have somewhere to put him once in awhile!), the changing table, pacifiers, and this swaddler are top of the list of "can't live withouts." First off, it's nice and tight, our little guy likes to scratch his face, and put his hands in his face in general. This prevents it. It calms him down immediately when we use it, (unless he's hungry) and I can't tell you the value of the "off switch" when he's in full scream! lol... ANYONE can use it w/out instruction- at first it appeared confusing, but Daddy got it right on the first try. (and he has trouble with normal blanket swaddling) so, it's Daddy's favorite thing. The best use by far though has been on the changing table. Like most babies, he HATES to be changed. I have found that if you leave the upper part of the swaddle on (while carefully separating the middle velcro, then pulling the "footie" part of the sack around his back) it will expose the entire lower half of his body, making it incredibly easy to change him- while he remains silent with the security of his arms wrapped up, and a pacifer in his mouth. Before this discovery, we had 12 screaming fits a day. This thing is a lifesaver. I think too, it can be used in the car! (it has what appears to be a seatbelt slot in the back) I have already bought 3 more- a couple in fleece, one in the larger size (3 month) and a some more cotton ones. AMAZING product. Don't be afraid to wrap him up tight! By the way- I also bought the "woombie" which is horrible, don't do it, trust me. New parents; remember- don't swaddle past the armpits when putting them down to sleep. (when awake, it's ok to swaddle to neck.) GET THIS and in high quantity! and for my last point... $10 is pretty darn cheap for this sort of parental relief in these first weeks of hell on earth- night feedings and dozen diaper days!

I love these swaddles!Jun 09, 2010
By looneyluden These swaddles are great because they keep the child secure. When my child got old enough to start rolling over, we stop swaddling the arms and just swaddle around the chest. It becomes a routine to wrap them up and put them to bed. My daughter actually smiles when I get the swaddle out, because she knows when it is time to go to sleep.

Fabulous!Apr 01, 2010

Someone got this for me as a baby gift and I wondered if we would ever use it... we use it EVERY NIGHT! Our baby was 7lbs when she was born and the small size didn't fit until she was about another pound heavier. She grew out of the small size pretty quickly (about 2-3 months) and I got the large size. She just turned 4 months and we are still using it every night. It keeps her swaddled throughout the night and she sleeps better. Its fabulous!

My Fav SwaddlerDec 12, 2010

The cotton swaddleme is my favorite. I also have Anis & Aden blankets and a Halo Fleece swaddler, which work OK, but I now use the swaddleme every night. I am afraid of overheating so the cotton option is just right when paired with warm pajamas. And I have found the velcro to be more than sufficient. My little guy is as strong as they come and he has never broken out of his. For those who have that problem, they are probably using one that is too big.
