If no further movement is detected for another 5 seconds, an alarm will sound to alert you. -Small - fits onto baby's diaper -Portable -Easy-to-use -Vibration stimulation after 15 seconds -Rouse Warning -Audible alarm after 20 seconds -Movement-rate Indicator to warn about weak or infrequent movement Snuza safely and conveniently monitors your baby's every movement. Clip the Snuza onto the waistband of your baby's diaper and switch on. The flexible sensor detects your baby's tummy movement. A built-in vibrating stimulator on the Halo model gently rouses baby 15 seconds after movement stops. If there is still no movement after 20 seconds, an alarm will sound to alert you to take immediate action. Snuza can be used in conjunction with a baby sound or video monitor so that it can be heard in another room. Snuza monitors are particularly useful for co-sleeping twins and multiples, where an under-mattress monitor is not effective. TRULY A LIFE SAVER!!Nov 21, 2011
By Kailasmom I always purchase items from Amazon..so much that I'm even a Prime member...yet I have never written a product review for any of my purchases regardless of how much I liked/hated the product. But in this case, and in hopes of my review possibly helping someone purchase this for their infant, I have decided to write my first review.
At first I thought this product was pricey but after comparing it to all other breathing monitors, I found this to be the best choice and most reliable of them all. I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews on here and about the batery life but decided to purchase it anyways for my first born who always had nasal problems since birth. Having used it nightly for the past 3 months now, I never received a false alarm, dead battery, or sound/vibration errors.
Tonight, my four month old daughter (who sleeps in her own room since she snores loudly yet is a very light sleeper) fell into a deep sleep and stopped breathing. The monitor tried to vibrate her after 15 seconds and because she did not respond to that, it started to beep loudly. At first my husband and I thought it was our phone alarm going off but then realized it was the monitor. We rushed to her and yelled her name yet she lied still. I picked her up and shook her a bit while we both yelled at her and made loud clapping noises to which she finally responded and woke up. If it wasn't for this product, I honestly wouldn't know what to do with myself. Please don't let the price deter you from buying this...I would pay 3 times the price for what it did for us tonight. Also it's hard to get false alarms since it's easy to put on and heck even if you do get a false alarm, I'd rather have that then something worse happen!! I hope my review has helped. I never upsell anything until tonight

Best Buy for New Mom!Dec 02, 2009
By Bonnie Redding As a new (neurotic) mom, I was terrified of SIDS. I found this product and purchased it to help soothe my fears. This has finally allowed me consistent night's peace. The first 3 weeks we had my daughter home I could not sleep. Every time I did not hear her breathe over the monitor I was sure something happened. Now I can sleep as long as my Bella has her baby beeper on! Okay... how it works is simple... The Snuza fits snugly on her diaper and will vibrate if she stops breathing for any time. This usually causes her to take in a breath and "remind" her to breathe. I know when this happens, because the Snuza has a yellow warning button in the morning (as opposed to green). My daughter is now 4.5 months old. It has vibrated her several times and alarmed 3 times. Each alarm was absolutely terrifying. My daughter was not breathing, however within seconds we were there to pick her up and wake her up! I don't know and don't want to know what would happen if we did not have the Snuza. This item is a must for every new parent. I wish more people knew about it! Very highly recommended. Another thing is that it is reusable for another child later. Just send it back to Snuza and they will replace it completely for a small ($20) fee. Totally worth it!

Love it!Jan 29, 2011
By Sarah German After having lost a child to SIDS, this monitor was a must have. Our daughter is almost 6 months and we have only have 2 false alarms. Both times the monitor was not snug on her diaper. The monitor is very easy to use. It does not seem uncomfortable for the baby. When we first got home with the new baby, we were not sure how much sleep we would get since we had lost a child to SIDS, but once we started using the monitor, we were both able to get sleep a little better. We tested it to see how it worked before placing it on the baby. The vibration is a strong vibration to wake up the baby and the alarm is very loud. One of the times it went off as a false alarm I was asleep on the other end of the house and the alarm woke me up and everything turned out to be fine. Definitely would recommend this monitor to others and have actually recommended it to several friends that are expecting.

awful battery lifeJul 28, 2011
By secretgarden I love this item in concept. We have twins so it was the only movement alarm that really works for multiples. I love that it's portable, too.
The vibrate feature is useless except for warning the parent that an alarm is coming (so that you can turn it off before the alarm goes off - which also never really woke the kid and only sent my dog barking like a maniac). The vibrate never roused my kids from their deep sleep. If you are considering a snuza, save your money and go for the Snuza Go! which does not have the vibrate feature.
Battery life is terrible - it says that it should last a year, but I have no idea how they came up with this milestone. Both my units had their batteries die about 4 months into use. I have replaced the batteries and one of the units is again dead, only three months after replacing the battery.
Finally, if you have a belly sleeper, you might not hear the alarm too well.
Otherwise, the unit did give me peace of mind and I still use it for my little guy who loves to sleep with his face planted firmly into the mattress.

LOVE this productJan 10, 2011
By Carrie Boyd We bought this product when we were pregant with our daughter. I was terrified after the loss of our last baby and needed something to give me peace of mind when this baby came. We used it from the day she was born (trained the nurses in the hospital on how to use it). While there have been a number of times it has gone off, that offers me more peace of mind to know that it is working as promised. If she wiggles or rolls too much at night it can fall off.
We did have a problem with the battery cover falling off. This was corrected with a well secured piece of electrical tape that also allowed the Snuza to stay in place better. My daughter is 8 months old and I intend to continue use until her first birthday, provided she does not figure out it is there are start playing with it. It was well worth the money it cost to give me the kind of sleep I have been able to enjoy since her birth. I recommend it for anyone I know that is expecting. Feel free to ask questions if you are unsure of how it works.
