 Finally a dress-up costume for 5 year olds....Mar 15, 2011

I was struggling to find a long dress for my 5 year old daughter (she is pretty tall) - everything I saw at Target or other places seemed to just address a toddler of 2 or 3 years of age.
I bought the L (5-7) and it fits her perfectly.

The Rapunzel Dress-up costume looks really nice! It's very helpful that my daughter can slip it over her head to put it on; no buttons, zippers, etc. I goofed in that I bought a large instead of a medium. I hoped she could grow into it. However, I quickly realized for how much my daughter wears this, combined with her 'enthusiastic personality', it wouldn't survive. I hemmed the dress myself. However, it is definitely showing wear and tear.
For the money and description, I had hoped it would last longer. We've owned the dress for 5 months.

This is an adorable dress. Though it's very flimzy. I just took it out of the box and it was unravelling at the seam on the bottom. For a 5 year old, who cares, and for the price, it's good, but I don't think this will last as a hand down to my younger daughter.

The dress ripped within a day of getting it, which happened to be after Christmas (after the other items ordered on the same day). My daughter doesn't happen to be rough, somehow I thought it would be a while before it fell apart
