 Better for older kidsAug 20, 2010

We purchased this castle for Christmas for our 3 year old. He does like to play with the castle, but wasn't quite old enough to play with it as often as an older child might. The castle comes with a working draw bridge (you just turn the knob at the top of the bridge and a rope pulls up the bridge). The only problem with that design is the bridge doesn't close completely. There are plenty of knights, guards, horses, a king and queen, but they are not posable which tend to be boring. The castle also comes with two ladders and a catapult. The castle's construction is good, very solid, but the slot design makes it difficult for children to move around. If my son picks up the castle the entire thing falls apart, there is nothing keeping the sides or corners from falling apart.

We have only had it for a couple weeks but it seems like a really good castle and comes with a lot of neat accessories. Wish the men were a little bit nicer quality, but for the money it's great and my son really likes it, plus little siblings can't break it.
