Works as advertised, just not helpful for meDec 28, 2010
By J. Ervin These work exactly as advertised; however, they allow the door to open enough that my 9 month old can get his fingers pinched in the drawer or door. And he does pinch his fingers all the time! I switched to the magnetic style lock so that he can't get the door open at all. Would work better maybe for older children who are less likely to slam little fingers.

Child safety lock.Jan 08, 2008
By S. A. I have this on the cabinets in my kitchen, on the ones that are on the bottom. They work pretty well, but after awhile my little guy figured out how to just push it down so that it opens up. I wouldn't recommend if you're trying to child proof from toddlers.

Keeps Cat's out of Cupboards!Dec 13, 2010
By UMADragon After looking at a few options I decided to install these to keep our cat from pulling things out of the cupboard when we're not home. We realized we needed something when he got into the snack cupboard and shook a bag of sunflower seeds ALL OVER THE HOUSE, including all the bedrooms. After laughing and vaccuming it up I got these locks, installed them about a year ago and have had no more incidents since. Works Perfectly!

works wellAug 01, 2011
By Jess f I did alot of research for locks and this lock works well. We are in a rental unit at the moment so I was looking for something that wasn't too permanent and these locks fit the bill. My daughter, 13 months will try and open a cabinet and when she realizes that the door will not open then she will give up and crawl away. She can look inside partly which I do not mind because it is just enough to appease her and not get frustrated.

Excellent but not for meJan 26, 2009
By master craftsman I tried some cheaper versions from Kids Are Us that broke upon installation. These were the best made of all the ones I checked out. They are just about 3/4" too short for my new drawers. My drawers are 3/4" boxes with an additional 3/4" drawer front, typical of many ready made cabinets. Lock is too short to release it with my finger. If you don't have this type of drawer, however, these are the best made locks.
