Cheap productJan 16, 2008
By Sierra I bought this product for my 3-year-old because it looked so cute online and because of the price. It's difficult to find a table with four chairs, rather than two. Initially I loved the product. It was easy to assemble and the colors looked great. Well, within a few weeks, the paint started chipping off all of the chairs except for the wood one. Soon after, the back of the green chair started to break apart risking a choking hazard, especially for my infant. And trust me, all we did was sit on those chairs - it's not like we threw them around or hammered things into them. I called KidKraft asking about touch-up paint and a new green back for the chair. They said they don't have paint but would be more than happy to send me a new back for all the colored chairs free of charge (it was still under the three-month warranty). I finally had the opportunity to replace the back of the chairs tonight and to my dismay, the holes for the screws from the new backs, didn't match the holes with the legs that I had. I decided to improvise and screw in two holes and not four so at least I have a back. Well, the hardware that I have didn't fit in the holes in the new backs (they didn't send me any hardware). So now I have three chairs with chipped paint, the green one is in the recycling bin since it's completely destroyed and the backs that they sent me are in a box in my garage. Needlesstosay, I'm very disappointed and upset about the quality of these chairs. Although they're cute for a week or two, it's not worth the price, hassle or stress. I don't recommend this product to anyone.

KidKraft nantucket Table and 4 chairsJan 12, 2008

"Kid Doc"
We recently created a Rec room in our basement. The major reason was to creat aplace for the grandkids to play. We had a housefull over Thanksgiving and Christmas. We purchsed the above product before the holidays. It was easly to assembly with clear instructions and tools provided. The product is sturdy and attractive and very functional. The little ones fit comfortably on the chairs which are sturdy and do not tip. Crayon and marker markings clean easily.
It is a handsome looking product and does not look trashy or cheap. It fits nicely into our room which has a desk workstation for my wife, couches and Home theatre area.

What a pain!Jun 20, 2008
By A. Smith I purchased this product for my nice and nephew. My brother went to put it together and noticed that the two vertical back pieces of the chair (that hold up the back) were split, as well as the back. I called the company that sold this through Amazon and let them know. Nothing was done until my third phone call, when I finally got someone who knew what they were doing ( no one had even done or noted anything before this point). I was told a replacement would be sent to me in 7-10 business days (a little long if you ask me- they sent the damaged item after all). It came after ten days, of course no less, and what do you know- they only sent the piece, not an entire chair, and they sent only the back- not the two other pieces. I did not pay this amount of money to be sent a piece here and a piece there. I called again, explained the issue, (thankfully at least I got the same knowledgeable/helpful guy), and he called Kid Kraft again for me. They said it would take another 7-10 days for the piece to come; again I have to wait so they can correct their error. I will never order from them again, which is a shame, because the table and chairs are so cute and are fairly sturdy. I am frustrated beyond belief at this point, and feel the least they could have done was to send the pieces expedited shipping. And since I gave this as a gift and it was opened at a big party, I am embarrassed because it looked like I gave a cheap piece of junk. Never again.

Sturdy and colorfulJan 05, 2011
By J. Schmidt The table and chairs were purchased as a Christmas present for my grandson. I couldn't have been more pleased with the quality. It is a very sturdy set. It has already stood up to two 2 year old little boys standing on and jumping off the chairs. The assembly took some time, but for good reason. The well constructed pieces fit together perfectly and the hardware is strong. I believe this set will last a good long time.

doesn't lastOct 01, 2010
By i'm a designer + mom We were given this set as a gift and it's lasted about a year and a half. We have a 3yr-old and a 1yr-old and don't abuse this set beyond daily, child-wear.
Despite the fact that it assembles much like Ikea furniture, it's not as sturdy, 1-inch pieces of the chairs have chipped off (in weird places, not sure how!) and generally the set is falling apart. Over the past year I have continuously had to tighten the screws/nuts under the table, where the legs attach. Somehow we've even managed to lose the nut and washer of a few of the screws. I'm sure that's a potential choking hazard for younger siblings.
What finally prompted me to write this review is that our green chair has completely fallen apart; we're throwing it out. Despite tightening the bolts of the chair, it's falling apart between the legs, as they are mostly held together only with wooden dowels. I could probably try to fix it with long wooden screws. But I have two kids and don't have the time.
We like the set just wish it was better made.
