Overall the only problem I found was the drawers don't open and close smoothly and need improvement. I didn't return the set but did feel that I overpaid for the product I received. I guess the picture and the description set my expectation higher than it should have been.

This chess set was given as a birthday gift to our grandson. He told me just yesterday that it
has become his favorite chess set. He especially enjoys taking it with him wherever he goes.
He especially likes the pull out drawers where the pieces are stored. At this point I cannot
evaluate the endurance of the set because of its newness, but it seems to be doing well after
a couple of weeks of continued use.

I PURCHASED THIS AS A GIFT FOR A YOUNG RELATIVE AND WAS PLESANTLY SURPRISED WITH THE QUALITY OF THIS CHESS SET. IT IS SELF CONTAINED AND WITH THE MAGNETIC PIECES IT CAN EVEN BE PLAYED WHILE DRIVING ON LONG TRIPS. IT WILL KEEP THE YOUNGSTERS FROM ARGUING IF THEY ARE STUCK TRAVELING FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.

I'm disappointed with the quality of this chess set. The description says it's "inlaid", but what it is really just a glued surface! I had to return the set because the surface was warped because it's not glued properly.

This a great little chess set. The pieces are sturdy natural wood. The magnetic board makes it jostle-resistent. My kids have had hours of great matches with it.
Both drawers are connected so that they must be pulled out together. There's enough resistance when you pull that I could imagine the drawers wearing out if you or a child were rough with it. If you're gentle, I think it would last for many years.
