 Beautiful Red Color, Somewhat Lightweight and Only Fair ConstructionOct 11, 2009

Based on the Amazon reviews, I ordered two of these fitted Jersey crib sheets for my grandson's crib. I purchased the red sheets which coordinated well with his room's decor. That color is a clear, primary red - I think it would coordinate well with fireman themed rooms, too. It is a really beautiful, true red and is not as dull or dark as it appears in the listing.
However, I must say I was disappointed in the quality of the crib sheet, particularly the construction. The fabric weight is on the light side; most jersey sheets I have owned or given as gifts are more sturdy than this item appears to be. Were it being used in sheets for regular beds instead of cribs, I doubt it would last for more than a year of washing and drying.
The corner seams will all need to be reinforced prior to use;otherwise, it is highly likely they will tear open when the sheet is put on a crib mattress. The elastic is not encased in jersey pocket or a bias tape casing as it would be on a higher quality item. Instead, the elastic has been zigzagged directly onto the back side of the sheet as is often done on lower quality items. It will take only minimal use before the zigzagging starts to pull out.

I ordered these sheets after trying a number of others on our LA Baby crib mattress and having no luck- all had pockets that were too shallow. These sheets not only fit with a little room to spare (even after washing/drying), but are soft enough for baby's skin. Great sheets for the money! I ordered two more.

I ordered the lavender one. The color is actually much brighter than the one shown on this product page. I was looking for a more pastel like lavender, but this one is bright lavender. It's really hard to find crib sheets in lavender it seems.
The sheet itself is not that impressive either. It is a little bigger than any other crib sheet I've used. It doesn't seem to fit the mattress as snugly as I would like. It also has seams along the entire edge that don't match the shape of the mattress top unfortunately. However, the material is nice and soft and what I was looking for. I am keeping the item only b/c I really need a jersey knit sheet right now and also, as I mentioned, it's so hard to find purple crib sheets.
